I finally made a video about how you can improve your chances of actually getting a work at home job. I mostly post the latest work at home job opportunities on my official website at Workersonboard, which I posted today on the weekly job section that you can view here, as well as this blog and I thought it was long overdue for me to share exactly what employers are looking for and how you can have an edge over your competition. If you have not had very much success in getting that work from home job and you have been applying to almost every company you can think of, this post and video below may be helpful to you.

I did leave an important part out of the video that I will share here in this post. This is in regard to your interview. This tip may sound strange but it can prove to be an asset and even increase your chances of getting a work at home job. If your interview will be handled over the telephone, it may be a good idea to stand up when talking with your potential employer. Why? Because it will improve the overall quality of your voice. It allows your lungs to get more air and you will breathe more easily and naturally. If you apply this technique, your voice will be more confident and you will be more relaxed in general. Sometimes interviews can create a bit of nervousness so standing up can help to eliminate this problem.

Not only can this simple technique help you in the employer's impression about you but it can also be used when you are working in sales or cold calling. There are several work at home jobs in sales, which are mostly commission based. If you happen to have a work at home job that involves cold calling or sales, incorporate this technique regularly. It may increase your earnings and turn those calls into sales for you.

There are many different ways that you can earn money online. You can get paid for your content, videos, to sell products for others, to blog, for your opinion, to answer questions, give advice, and more. You can also earn money to declutter. This post will go into detail about how anyone can do this and how this whole process works.

Many of you probably have items lying around your home that you no longer use or need to get rid of. Maybe you have updated your old electronic devices by investing in an iPad or a new cell phone. Did you know that companies will actually pay you to send your items to them? Now, of course you could put them in a bag and send them off to your local Goodwill and get a tax right off but what if you need the money right now as many of us do. There is a solution. You can sell your gently used clothing, shoes, purses, handbags, accessories, kids clothes, cellphones, electronics, hats, accessories, and other items for cash. If you have kids still living at home, no doubt they have grown out of their clothing and are probably just taking up space. You may even have some clothes sitting in your closet that you no longer wear or you have simply outgrown that particular style that you can cash in to update your wardrobe or to keep for yourself. This includes but not limited to books, laptops, desktop computers, pda's or personal digital assistants, or other mobile devices.

So how does this work? It is a relatively simple process. First you would need to gather your items and take inventory of what you no longer use or would like to get rid of. Inspect them carefully to see if it is working properly, fully functioning, and has no missing parts. If it is a clothing item you will need to check them over in proper lighting to make sure they are stain free, have been washed prior to shipping them out, they have no tears or holes in them unless you purchased them that way, have the manufacturer tags attached, and contain no odors. Put them into a bag and fill them as much as you can without overloading it. Add your shipping label. Set your items out for the package carrier to pick up in front of your house and then wait to get paid. It is that simple. Several companies do have certain guidelines that may vary from what I described here so this is just a general basic rule to follow. You will need to check with each individual company to see how they have this set up. There should be no fees involved to ship your items to the companies but as you know there are always exceptions to the rule. Here are a few companies that will pay you to do this.

Thredup

Note: Right now they will send you your bag for free to put your clothes in!

Thredup will pay you to send in your kids clothes to them online. They should be in good condition, have no holes or tears in them. You have to pay $4.95 to get your bag that you will use to ship your items to them online. You will receive your payment through your paypal account. Here is a video below that explains the whole process.

Twice

This is another company that you can ship your clothing items to for cash. They have to be in good condition, clean, and less than 5 years old. You can request a free prepaid shipping label and bag them up to send to your local post office. No cost for shipping. They will make an offer on your items. Payment is through a check in the mail or through your paypal account.

Cash for Clothing

This company is in the UK and they will buy your clothes, toys, duvet covers, sheets, handbags, books, DVDs, shoes, etc. They pay 50p per kilogram. You will book your collection by email or phone. Driver will arrive on the date you chose to retrieve your items and weigh your bags and you will receive your cash on your doorstep. They service the UK, USA, Canda, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

Gazelle

Go to their website online and find your item. Answer a few questions. Ship your electronic devices for free if they are worth at least $1 and get paid. Payment is by check, Amazon gift card, or through your paypal account.

Depstar

Get a quote for your electronic device online and send it in. You can trade up in your devices or even sell broken stuff here. You get paid instantly through Paypal or you can also request a check.

Threadflip

It is free to list your new, like new, gently used, or clothing that is good condition here. This site is set up like Pinterest. They will take a 20% transaction fee when you item is sold to cover shipping and handling. When your item sells you can either request your cash or use the money as a credit to buy purchases from them online.

Have you ever entertained the thought of starting your own Mommy Blog? Maybe you have but then you thought to yourself, I really don't have time to invest into a blog. Believe it or not, it may not take as much time as you may think. Some people even work a full time job and have a blog that they maintain in their spare time. This post will give you some ideas of what you can blog about and how you can do this to earn extra or even a full time income from home.

Lets get to the basics. First of all, what is a mommy blog? It is basically online entries that journal or chronicle your home, family, and parenting ideas, thoughts, opinions, etc. in a series of posts that you update regularly online. For some it can be a hobby. For others it can prove to be a real business for them. Whatever your goal is for your Mommy blog just know that you will not go at it alone. There are hundreds of other Mommy bloggers that you can connect with, learn from, and inspire. You can also help others that visit your site just by sharing photos, recipes, and any other hobbies that you may take on and even encourage them to do the same.

I just recently received an email from Collin Brown from IRI ISG, Inc to explain the nature of this home based opportunity as a field service rep . This is not a traditional work at home job but it can be classified as part of their deployed or distributed workforce positions. If you have children at school or you stay at home and wouldn't mind driving to stores near or around your residence, you may want to consider looking into this field. You can work a flexible schedule and be back home before the kids arrive from school. The job entails some data collection from multiple stores in geographical locations where some traveling may be involved. IRI ISG, Inc. is looking for people to join our national Field Service Representative Team. The Part Time Field Service Representative (FSR) collects consumer product data by scanning UPC codes from a variety of retail stores (grocery, convenience, drug, and mass merchandise stores) within an assigned geographic territory which is setup by city, state and zip code.
What will I do as a Field Service Representative and what does IRI ISG, Inc. offer?
The Field Service Representative scans bar code data located in store displays, shelf observations, feature ads, and promotional conditions.
IRI ISG, Inc. offers a reasonably flexible schedule and competitive hourly compensation which gives you the potential to earn more money depending on your efficiency and productivity. We also offer travel pay in accordance to IRI’s specifications along with a 401K plan and other benefits.
What are the responsibilities of a Field Service Representative?
 Work hours range from 5-15 hours a week, depending on weekly projects
