It seems that data entry work at home jobs are very hard to come by and are the most sought out fields in the work at home job market.  Why is that?  For the most part, a lot of these companies do not require that you have any previous experience which means that you may stand a greater chance of landing a data entry job or a work at home job in general.  It can be less intimidating as well because you may not have to undergo extensive testing, background checks, resumes to upload, and so forth.  With that being said, it is still quite a challenge to find legitimate data entry companies to apply to online but I have found a few companies that currently have an ongoing need for data entry keyers to work from home.  

Some things you may need:

Type at the least 30 wpm up to 70 wpm

Type accurately with very little mistakes

A good keyboard that will help you to excel in your typing skills

An up to date web browser like IE 8, Google Chrome, and other compatible web browsers

Tip: You do not necessarily have to be the fastest typist in order work from home data entry job.  It is more important if you can type accurately because the speed will come later.  Companies would rather select a candidate that can type accurately at a slower pace than a very fast typist with several mistakes.

Remember if a particular company is not hiring right now, you can always check back at a later date.  If you have already applied to a company and have not heard anything from them in a few weeks or so, you could always contact them via email or through some other forms of correspondence to find out what your status is.  Here are some companies that you can try below.

There are many different ways that you can earn money online. You can get paid for your content, videos, to sell products for others, to blog, for your opinion, to answer questions, give advice, and more. You can also earn money to declutter. This post will go into detail about how anyone can do this and how this whole process works.

Many of you probably have items lying around your home that you no longer use or need to get rid of. Maybe you have updated your old electronic devices by investing in an iPad or a new cell phone. Did you know that companies will actually pay you to send your items to them? Now, of course you could put them in a bag and send them off to your local Goodwill and get a tax right off but what if you need the money right now as many of us do. There is a solution. You can sell your gently used clothing, shoes, purses, handbags, accessories, kids clothes, cellphones, electronics, hats, accessories, and other items for cash. If you have kids still living at home, no doubt they have grown out of their clothing and are probably just taking up space. You may even have some clothes sitting in your closet that you no longer wear or you have simply outgrown that particular style that you can cash in to update your wardrobe or to keep for yourself. This includes but not limited to books, laptops, desktop computers, pda's or personal digital assistants, or other mobile devices.

So how does this work? It is a relatively simple process. First you would need to gather your items and take inventory of what you no longer use or would like to get rid of. Inspect them carefully to see if it is working properly, fully functioning, and has no missing parts. If it is a clothing item you will need to check them over in proper lighting to make sure they are stain free, have been washed prior to shipping them out, they have no tears or holes in them unless you purchased them that way, have the manufacturer tags attached, and contain no odors. Put them into a bag and fill them as much as you can without overloading it. Add your shipping label. Set your items out for the package carrier to pick up in front of your house and then wait to get paid. It is that simple. Several companies do have certain guidelines that may vary from what I described here so this is just a general basic rule to follow. You will need to check with each individual company to see how they have this set up. There should be no fees involved to ship your items to the companies but as you know there are always exceptions to the rule. Here are a few companies that will pay you to do this.

Thredup

Note: Right now they will send you your bag for free to put your clothes in!

Thredup will pay you to send in your kids clothes to them online. They should be in good condition, have no holes or tears in them. You have to pay $4.95 to get your bag that you will use to ship your items to them online. You will receive your payment through your paypal account. Twice

This is another company that you can ship your clothing items to for cash. They have to be in good condition, clean, and less than 5 years old. You can request a free prepaid shipping label and bag them up to send to your local post office. No cost for shipping. They will make an offer on your items. Payment is through a check in the mail or through your paypal account.

Cash for Clothing

This company is in the UK and they will buy your clothes, toys, duvet covers, sheets, handbags, books, DVDs, shoes, etc. They pay 50p per kilogram. You will book your collection by email or phone. Driver will arrive on the date you chose to retrieve your items and weigh your bags and you will receive your cash on your doorstep. They service the UK, USA, Canda, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

Gazelle

Go to their website online and find your item. Answer a few questions. Ship your electronic devices for free if they are worth at least $1 and get paid. Payment is by check, Amazon gift card, or through your paypal account.

Depstar

Get a quote for your electronic device online and send it in. You can trade up in your devices or even sell broken stuff here. You get paid instantly through Paypal or you can also request a check.

Threadflip

It is free to list your new, like new, gently used, or clothing that is good condition here. This site is set up like Pinterest. They will take a 20% transaction fee when you item is sold to cover shipping and handling. When your item sells you can either request your cash or use the money as a credit to buy purchases from them online.

Have you ever entertained the thought of starting your own Mommy Blog?  Maybe you have but then you thought to yourself, I really don't have time to invest into a blog.  Believe it or not, it may not take as much time as you may think.  Some people even work a full time job and have a blog that they maintain in their spare time.  This post will give you some ideas of what you can blog about and how you can do this to earn extra or even a full time income from home.

Lets get to the basics.  First of all, what is a mommy blog?  It is basically online entries that journal or chronicle your home, family, and parenting ideas, thoughts, opinions, etc. in a series of posts that you update regularly online.  For some it can be a hobby.  For others it can prove to be a real business for them. Whatever your goal is for your Mommy blog just know that you will not go at it alone.  There are hundreds of other Mommy bloggers that you can connect with, learn from, and inspire.  You can also help others that visit your site just by sharing photos, recipes, and any other hobbies that you may take on and even encourage them to do the same. 

This is a great time to introduce some ideas to help you start your own Mommy blog.  If you are in need of some motivation or short of some ideas to start your own blog, hopefully this list will motivate you to do so.

1. Share stories.  You could start a Mommy blog and share stories about your child, and possibly mention some funny memories or experiences.
2. Scrap booking.  Your Mommy blog could be your virtual scrap book and collection of photos of vacations you took, places you went to see, and so much more.
3. Reading.  Share your favorite Mommy books.
4. Potty Training.  Use your blog to talk about the challenges of potty training and any tips you can share.
5. Clothes.  You can use your blog to sell old or outgrown clothes that your child or children have worn to earn some extra money.
6. Recipes.  Share your favorite family recipes on your blog and the ones you make especially for your children or with your children.
7. Schools.  Share your advice on the best schools, back to school tips, or any other helpful tips for other moms and dads.
8. Recalls.  Use your blog to bring awareness to some of the latest recalled items so that other families will stay safe.
9. Parenting Tips.  Share tips with other parents on how to get their children to eat vegetables, the best time to start brushing their teeth, how to tie their shoes, etc.
10. Coupons.  Start a Mommy blog about how to save money on toys, clothes, etc. at some of the major department stores with online coupons, freebies, and other deals. 
11. Reviews.  Do reviews on the latest kid's movie, destination vacation for families, local restaurants, and more.
12. Slide Shows.  Post activities, photos, or videos of family outings, baby nurseries, and more on your blog.
13. Design.  Use your blog to showcase your design talents.  Maybe you are good at transforming a room and redecorating it on a budget, or you love to accessorize your kid's rooms with stuffed animals, wall art, lamps, etc.  You may also have a knack for DIY and you could use your mommy blog to show the before and after pictures online.
14. Projects.  Share projects you make with your children for school or just for recreation.
15. Making money.  Share how you make money online doing simple tasks, surveys, and other things online.
16. Crafts.  Show other mommies how to crochet, knit, and sew online and make hats, baby gear, and other things.  You can also sell it on your blog also. 
17. Pregnancy.  Give advice to first time moms on what they can expect while pregnant, items they will need to take along with them to the hospital, how to stay healthy when pregnant, and so much more.
18. Games.  Make a blog of fun filled of video games that your kids would even love to visit and play.
19. Family Night.  Share what you activities you do for family night and include photos to give other moms fresh and new ideas.
20. Mommy Time.  Share what you do to relax and unwind for a little me time.

As a matter of fact, she believed that the only way you can earn money online is by blogging.  Either for someone else or for your own site.  I do realize and completely understand why many people feel this way and that is exactly why I started this blog and my other site at Workersonboard to dispel the myths about working at home and to reveal the truth about how more and more companies today are hiring "home based workers".

I just recently received an email from Collin Brown from IRI ISG, Inc to explain the nature of this home based opportunity as a field service rep .  This is not a traditional work at home job but it can be classified as part of their deployed or distributed workforce positions.  If you have children at school or you stay at home and wouldn't mind driving to stores near or around your residence, you may want to consider looking into this field.  You can work a flexible schedule and be back home before the kids arrive from school.  The job entails some data collection from multiple stores in geographical locations where some traveling may be involved.  This company does have an immediate need for field reps to work for their company.  If you are

IRI ISG, Inc. is looking for people to join our national Field Service Representative Team. The Part Time Field Service Representative (FSR) collects consumer product data by scanning UPC codes from a variety of retail stores (grocery, convenience, drug, and mass merchandise stores) within an assigned geographic territory which is setup by city, state and zip code.
What will I do as a Field Service Representative and what does IRI ISG, Inc. offer?
The Field Service Representative scans bar code data located in store displays, shelf observations, feature ads, and promotional conditions.
IRI ISG, Inc. offers a reasonably flexible schedule and competitive hourly compensation which gives you the potential to earn more money depending on your efficiency and productivity. We also offer travel pay in accordance to IRI’s specifications along with a 401K plan and other benefits.
What are the responsibilities of a Field Service Representative?
 Work hours range from 5-15 hours a week, depending on weekly projects
 Use of IRI’s collection equipment (MONet device)
 Answer survey questions about store conditions, activities, product displays and product counts
 Accountability for your assigned MONet device and perform basic maintenance
 Enter accurate timekeeping data on the MONet timesheet
 Communicate schedule changes in a timely manner to your Field Manager
 Some flexibility within established guidelines to set your own schedule to service stores (generally weekdays)
 Effectively perform projects within deadlines and be detailed orientated
 Demonstrate a willingness to cover open additional tasks as assigned
 Field Service Representatives may be asked occasionally to participate in peer training
What are the qualifications for a Field Service Representative?
In addition to the above skills set, the ideal candidate must possess the following:
 Reliable vehicle with proof of liability auto insurance (100/300) and a valid driver’s license
 Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., reach up to 6 feet, and to bend/ stretch/ stoop and stand up to 5 hours
 Ability to perform repetitive scanning operations while wearing a MONet device
 Daily access to a landline phone line, digital phone line, or wireless internet connection to upload data from the MONet device. Also, candidates must own a personal home PC with internet connection and email capabilities
 Basic understanding of computers including Microsoft windows
 Professionalism in appearance and attitude
 Strong verbal, written, communication, and comprehension skills
 High school education or GED preferred
 Experience involving data collection in a retail environment is a plus but not required
